Frequently Asked Questions

I'm sure you have questions about what we do and how we do it. Well, on this page you will be able to find some answers to those questions.

How will the soldiers and their families pay for the service?

Services provided by The Core V.I.P. are 100% free to our service personnel. This is our way as American citizens of saying Thank You for your selfless service.

What makes you qualified to offer services to soldiers?

Soldiers are people just like everybody else. Although they may share a different set of experiences, they are people. For over 20 years, our CEO Scott Davis, Clinical Director Brent Judd, and Military Transitional Therapist Sid Young have been providing experiential treatment. It changes lives! As treatment providers we offer a holistic continuum of care, meaning we treat the individual and his/her family. There is no task too tall for a soldier who is willing to enjoy his stay with The Core V.I.P. and allow friends and family the opportunity to honor and support him/her.

How do you expect these soldiers to talk about their experience?

Our Transitional Therapist and Psychologist Sid Young has transitioned over 600,000 soldiers in Germany.  He obtains the military knowledge and experience needed to make our veterans feel safer and more secure knowing that they are in good hands with “The Chaplin” Dr. Sid Young.

How will The Core V.I.P. pay for services provided?

Services will be funded through grant money, cash, in-kind donations and volunteer work. One of the most unique aspects of our program is that approximately 70% of costs can be provided through in-kind donations, which are far easier to obtain than cash donations.

How are you going to get the soldiers to come?

This will take a collective effort from community, family members, key military officials and a well-run program that lends itself to a word-of-mouth epidemic.  All we need is the opportunity to build trust with soldiers and their families, let them experience our programs, and the rest will fall into place.

How will the soldiers and their families be able to attend with work and school?

Same way they would for a vacation. Plan to take the time off and find a babysitter. It will be up to them to decide what is more important. Continuing to deal with the issues that may be going on in their home and in their relationships, or take time off to honor the greatness within themselves and improve communication, problem solving, trust, and self-esteem.

How much of my contribution will go directly to the cause?

The Core V.I.P. prides itself on insuring that 90% of your contribution goes directly to providing services to veterans and their families.

How much of my contribution is tax exempt?

The Core V.I.P. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (c) 3 tax exempt non-profit organization, therefore your contribution is tax deductible to the fullest extent.  (Speak with your tax advisor for specific details pertaining to your business.)

How do I receive a tax deduction?

To obtain the tax deduction of your donation, you must obtain a receipt from The Core V.I.P. In the event your business is audited, you must verify this receipt by matching it with the records on file with The Core V.I.P.
